My displeasure is partly based on the fact that with a 1.5-story house you could easily realize all your wishes on significantly less floor space and even save money, which invested in higher quality fittings creates more quality of life than the bungalow style.
In fact, with this house provider, a bungalow is cheaper than a 1.5-story house since they build bungalows 80% of the time in a year. In the basic version, about 25,000 euros less. The quality of life aspect is of course also a matter of perspective. No stairs to climb when older, no sloping ceilings (which I currently have and which annoy me) and indeed the possible high ceiling with the skylight in the living-dining area as well as tall windows in the gable simply enhances the room. I did not believe that before either.
Guest/work is already combined.
It's actually not that simple. Since some things are confidential due to work, combining them would be rather suboptimal.
I don't understand that now. The plot would be far too small for me.
So if I haven't miscalculated, there are still 400 m² of garden left in the southeast area. Maybe I just perceive that as too big since we currently have 120 m². But we have also lived on a 1600 m² plot... please not again.
Variant with island:
Good idea, especially for the parents' area. I will definitely continue to consider it.
Is the north arrow correct? It's not the same as the orientation of the "site plan."
Actually, the north arrow only matches the view "house on the plot."
I actually thought the access is from the north? Something like this:

Or is that not a road at the top of the plan?
Both sides could be used as access (top and bottom). The street name does not change. But as it is drawn, I would probably prefer it that way.
