Hello Evolith

not quite right.
This is no longer about the enclosure.
The office wants an on-site inspection.
I have informed them that I will only agree to it if the legal basis for it is named and checked by me.
Actually a very simple rule-of-law process, which should be a matter of course.

They must have told you what they want to see. They don't just say "hey let's see." I think you wrote it to assess the possibilities on site. Maybe they also have a suspicion about something. But a reason must have been given.

Hello

You wrote that due to the long period until the approval of the shed, the building permit has expired. To discuss the further procedure, they will come for an on-site inspection. Since the shed was already accepted several years ago, I assumed it was an unfortunate phrasing. I thought it was only about the enclosure. When I called the building authority, I read between the lines that the files no longer clearly state what is now in place, what was accepted, and where the problem lies. A written solution, as I suggested, was categorically rejected. They insist on an on-site inspection. Well, that is the situation so far. The next step will be to study the letter that the authority is undoubtedly currently drafting. After that, the course of action will become clear. It seems to me that they want something from me, namely to complete their file. I can send you everything in copy. But for that, there needs to be a conversation and not the swinging of the bureaucratic club.

mhh, well, weapons scare me; especially in the hands of people who write like you, Steven. And NO, I do not think that I need psychological help because of that.

On another note: if I were you, I would rather think about whether, given your attitude, a special police unit might surround your house one night. How do I come to that?

Weapon fanatic & professional background & conspicuously 'defiant' behavior = problem case...

As an official, I would definitely only show up at your place under police protection – I’m a coward and I’m not even ashamed of it.

Hello Nofret

firstly: I am not a fool. Neither when it comes to weapons nor anything else. This way of speaking is an insult that, certainly used unintentionally, should be avoided. I see you come from Switzerland. How have the Swiss actually managed to survive until now? The density of fully automatic assault rifles in private hands is higher in Switzerland than anywhere else in the world. In Switzerland, citizens are trusted to handle such war weapons responsibly at home. You have surely often seen a Swiss man/woman enter the train on a Sunday with an assault rifle in hand and go to the shooting range?! You have no concerns there? Precisely my professional training makes me particularly reliable as a weapon carrier. And you surely meant with your conspicuously “renitent” behavior something along the lines of “troublemaker.” This troublemaker§ was gladly and often applied in the Third Reich to imprison undesirable persons. Nobody wishes that anymore. Furthermore, you are now exaggerating a bit: A special unit is supposed to surround my house at night? Why not just bombard it with heavy artillery and then survey the remains? This is at most about a regulatory offense. Whether the involvement of a SEK is necessary, I doubt. You have fantasies that slowly terrify me.

I would watch out that your defiance and non-cooperation are not reported further and your [WBK] is taken away from you.

Best regards in brief
