Nothing against collecting weapons, but an ammunition stock of over 5,000 rounds is absolutely insane. Do you want to start a small war? What does one want with so much ammunition.
So you want to shoot with the weapons, that then has nothing to do with "technical scientific collecting activity." Collecting is one thing, using is another. And be honest, if the weapons authority wanted to check your storage of the weapons, you'd definitely let them in, right?

I'm not going to say that we have over 10,000 rounds in the garage and my grandpa used to easily have three times that amount on the shelf in the living room. The sparrow war was fought with passion. What I mean to say is: don't assume it's large-caliber ammo. Cartridges for, for example, air rifles can be conveniently stored in large numbers in small boxes. Depending on how intensively the hobby is pursued, 5,000 rounds can be used up in a day at the shooting range, especially if a friend is brought along.

But I don't think air rifles are being discussed here. That's a different topic.

No idea. It wasn't written that precisely. I just wanted to express that one could ask for clarification before calling the person a "freak" based on the amount of ammo.

Can the discussion about the weapons be held in another thread?
