oh man graffiti... do you really think you’ll get the responsible ones and snitch on them??

Opportunistic offenders? Like stealing the lawn mower robot or what?

Then just get a proper insurance and that’s it.

Do you think the police feel like reviewing your videos over a 500 € lawn mower robot????

No, it’s about deterrence and personal communication. I want nothing to happen in the first place.

The most idiotic offenders cause the greatest damage, which cannot easily be repaired. Insurance or not..

Sorry, but that is really extremely exaggerated. Where exactly are houses being vandalized and stones thrown? Maybe one should consider moving to a different neighborhood, especially if they are so fearful.

In Berlin.

The fundamental question of whether I will build something here again or completely change the location cannot be decided at the present time. Furthermore, the standard ground values in Berlin and the surrounding area have risen so much that it is probably no longer realistic to find something. And here I have the space. It will be cheaper to invest more in security here than to buy something elsewhere. Especially since the front houses are also a later source of income.

So I can fully understand the OP. Not everyone lives/builds here in the countryside, or in a quiet town where burglary and/or vandalism is a rare occurrence.

The most important things have already been mentioned. I consider an absence simulation, which does not statically turn devices on/off at the same time, and a shading system to be essential.

Evening floodlight-like lighting with motion detection. Thanks to LED relatively simple and inexpensive.

Regarding automatic and controlled ventilation, yes, many houses are still being built without it today. For many, it's simply too expensive.

In any case, I would also place very high demands on the doors/windows/roof, so nothing below RC4, rather directly going to RC6.

Yes, I am familiar with the mechanical properties of windows and doors. Of course, I use the best standard available at the time of execution. But that doesn't help against everything.

A few years ago, some idiot tried to pry between the window and the brick cladding. Whatever he wanted to achieve with that. A piece broke out of the stone and there is a dent in the window frame. That kind of thing is just shitty...
