We originally planned it exactly like that. But as I said, the structural engineer said that this is not feasible. There will be an attic on top, so the loads must be transferred accordingly by proper walls. Still, thanks for the suggestion, which is really good.

Which loads? I really can hardly imagine that.

In your bedroom variant ... bed really only 2m wide? With mattresses always think about the bed frame too.
So that means 280 to 290 cm minimum from your 313 cm wall to the dressing room. Minimal space for bedside tables.
And, you always have to pass directly by the head of one sleeping person to get into the dressing room.

Additionally .. the children’s rooms have north and west/or east windows. They would actually be better off with south-facing windows.

And, bathroom above bathroom simplifies a lot.

Bathroom with toilet drain into the guest room is not everything ... the toilet drain should ideally then also merge with the toilet drain from the guest toilet and somewhere lead into a common house drain. Ask your architect about that.

As drawn now, the person sleeping at the top of the plan has no bedside table. I couldn't sleep and live like that. Glasses, alarm clock, lamp, book, and a bottle of water need their place every night. You can haggle over the centimeters among yourselves, but in my opinion, it will never be satisfactory.

I’m also massively bothered by this, but so far the OP hasn’t responded to questions regarding washer/dryer. My bathroom could be 30m², but when I’m relaxing there—wherever that may be, completely without a bathtub—looking at the dirty laundry ruins all relaxation. Especially since it’s a disaster in everyday life to have all the laundry in that room. Recently, with two children, I feel like I’m now washing for 10 people, and that’s roughly how it looks in the utility room too.

Well, the OP made it clear once in the thread that for him a bathroom is purely a utility room with no relaxation value. The quote was roughly: “shower, wash, etc.” As strange as I find that, I don’t have to live like that. What the bathroom might be for is like a car for me – no one around me understands that either. I would rather find out whether this extraordinary attitude is truly shared by all residents and will remain so. Renovations later are expensive, and a few contingencies can be taken care of beforehand. For example, I would NOT have a second door in any scenario, even with a purely utility room without any additional value.

Yes, he did write that he wants it that way. That should be enough. Everyone has different ideas. The OP is an adult who has thought it through and knows how he wants to live.

I wouldn’t want to have the washing machine in the bathroom anymore either. But if that’s what is wanted, then so be it.
