Yeah yeah, the internet age, during a conversation at the heating/plumbing office, you could still look at the shelves to see which folders are there. With our plumbing, for example, it’s Ideal Standard, installed thousands of times in prefabricated buildings. Most manufacturers have affordable basic series.

Modernization of a 7sqm bathroom costs 25k here (Ruhr area). However, we went all out on the tiles; the decorative tiles for the shower wall and the front wall cost €90/sqm just for purchase.

Tub out, large rain shower in, new furniture, new tiles. New fittings, new radiator, new washbasin. The prices of bathroom suppliers are close to outrageous, but the craftsman only installs what he obtains through them.

2.5x2.5m² for 25,000€? Are walls and roof included? Golden faucets? Unbelievable what that is supposed to cost.

How are we supposed to judge that?

Show us the draft and the offer.

I don’t understand your question anyway. Show us pictures and the plan of the existing situation.

Are all the tiles still firmly fixed? Just tap on them and you will hear if they are fixed.

Are the pipes made of copper? Then they can stay in place.

We knew the prices from friends who were just renovating.

We do the demolition completely ourselves.
I have the offer at hand, just examples:

- Tiling work €100/sqm, includes surcharge for 120*60 tiles
- 84 man-hours, half at €60/h, the other half as assembly helper hours at €40/h
- Towel radiator €1,000 (!)
- Washbasin + console shelf + faucet €1,900 (!!)
- Tall cabinet + base cabinet for washbasin €1,500 (!!!)
- Tiles purchase €1,100 (self-chosen, own fault ;-) )

Just as an excerpt, how it adds up. The prices, if you get the equipment through a specialist company, are just as ridiculous as those for kitchen appliances through kitchen studios.
