The kitchen won't work out as drawn in the plan. The room is 720cm long. Assuming a table 180cm long. From the edge of the table to the wall or furniture you need 100cm all around, so 380cm from 720cm is already taken. 340cm remain. The kitchen would end roughly in the middle of the kitchen window if you make it as long as possible. An island with a counter is not possible at all.
What would fit very well, however, is if the stairs are, as already suggested, moved to the other side. Then you get a very large, practical kitchen with plenty of storage space. I've just roughly pushed it together once

a niche for storage at the bottom of the line. What I don’t like is the window position and the less nice view on the left side of the plan. I would then plan the window to fit the island. Distance between the lines 120-130cm.
The dishwasher could be installed elevated at the bottom of the plan, the distance between the cooktop and sink then accordingly more, about 120cm.
I might possibly let the kitchen and stairs end at the same height, meaning the utility room might be a bit deeper. The door from the utility room to the carport should definitely be kept.
I really like the air space in the entrance, Chrisw81 would be happy if his “settlement house” had this little wow factor. Just to explain, he finds his little house boring.
Thank you very much for the detailed reply and your alternative suggestion. We would like to take advantage of the benefit that the kitchen gets more storage space, but we want a separation between the entrance area and the kitchen/living-dining area. If I understand correctly, with your suggestion we would go directly from the hallway on the ground floor into the kitchen?! If so, is there a solution for that?
