Hello Sascha,
yes, we want to install the carcass – let’s say – in a carpenter style.
It is still less work or effort for us than making a carcass completely by ourselves.
This way, the construction and material are the same. What we can use for mounting, like the front 2 screws on the bottom, will be used. If the rear one disappears, there is another solution.
We have already designed and built some furniture completely by ourselves... I’m sure we can manage this as well.
After all, drawers are also coming in, so the load is also supported on the rear suspension via the side walls.
How much exactly will be taken in depth, I can only measure once the old kitchen is out and the drawer doors are installed. It will be in the range of 2-4 cm.
It’s not much, which is why I don’t want to resort to the 37.5 cm depth. I would lose 20 cm of storage space across the entire width and height. Especially with the countertop, that makes quite a difference.
Regarding the sink... I have to take another close look at that...
There will be a Personlig custom-made laminate countertop oak imitation decor no. 0520,
on the kitchen island with a length of 1.9 m and a depth of 90 cm.
Going in is the:
Boholmen built-in sink with 2 basins, stainless steel for 99.00 article number: 501.142.21
Sink on the left and installed as far left as the carcass allows. So flush left.
The sink is 77 cm wide in total, the carcass 80 cm...
there should be enough space below before the sink begins that we can gain a few centimeters.
Strangely, the planner doesn’t complain when I place the sink like this... hmm...
Apparently you know a lot about the Ikea countertops...
Somehow the whole countertop offer is pretty confusing to me.
In the “normal” Ikea offer, I can’t find a laminate countertop in a matching oak wood design.
Always only solid wood surfaces or entirely solid... or birch / walnut etc.
Is it just me missing it, ops: , or do they really not exist...
Okay, and for the cabinets under the window – shorter, less deep – pay attention to the fastening of the cabinets (assembly).
I already thought that. But I have the info that the Maximera are 55 cm deep... and I have 5 cm clearance MINUS the depth of the fastening material during assembly.
That plays a role especially with the lowest drawer, otherwise I can’t install it... right...
86 cm is the upper edge of the windowsill. Jura stone, will be installed tomorrow including a new window.
If I now go 10 cm lower on the side, I will certainly reach with a finished size of 81.8 cm beneath.
First of all, I want the windowsill separately there; so far it was the countertop and no... I don’t want that anymore.
Secondly, my daughter is disabled and therefore smaller; for her the height would also be much better for working when she helps in the kitchen.
Tomorrow everything will come out at that corner anyway... I can measure exactly and then also have the finished size of the windowsill.
Then I will take another close look at everything.
Thanks already for your help
Bye Sabine
