Find another architect, that is the only constructive advice you can be given.

The trust relationship is, if it ever existed, destroyed. And if the architect doesn't even have time to create plans for you, then you can count on one hand how intensively he will coordinate the construction, supervise, and chase after companies that in turn delay and miss deadlines. You don't throw good money after bad.

However, you will basically have to develop a thick skin if you want to build in the current situation. Delays of several months up to a year are not uncommon. I have been waiting for 4 months for the installer to inform me that my heating system has arrived. And he says he can’t promise me that for this year anymore...

PS:
By the way, if you want to sue for contractual services and think you’ll save money and time that way... well, good night.

Hire another architect. Why are you actually building with an architect and not a proper construction company?

If you were a good investor, you would have known for a long time what to do.

So what now, is the architect supposed to be involved in the conversion, or just obtain the approval? If the latter, who manages the conversion after the approval? Oh here is the question: What do you actually want? You can: - Push with deadlines (with or without a lawyer) - Terminate immediately (with or without a lawyer) - Search for a second architect in parallel and then only terminate if the new one is any good - Claim damages Don’t get too upset about the money, you are still at the beginning of the construction. You still have a lot ahead of you. Better to have a steep learning curve at the beginning than at the end ;)

Unfortunately, no contractual agreements were made in advance, but unfortunately only trust in a handshake. Thanks for the hint. It will be a lesson for me in future projects and thanks for the tip.

There were only that many appointments because there were constant reschedulings. So in total, there were 3 meetings for which 21 appointments were scheduled.

Thank you for the advice. Should there be further support, I will definitely set contractual framework conditions. Are there ways to proceed here, or what can be done to ensure that an architect really takes care of a project?
