I would also be very much in favor of reciprocal, accommodating behavior. However, it fails because of the companies. Therefore, I also use all legal options.

You mean because the insurance did not act as you deemed appropriate, that justifies using the loophole in the credit contract to get out. That's just our society, no matter from which side. I take what I can, that's life, everyone does that.

The insurance company acted absolutely non-transparent, unfriendly to customers, and one-sided. This once served as an example of how companies operate. Mind you, I had all my insurances throughout my professional life except for legal protection. This is an absolute disgrace and shows how companies deal with customers. Contractual relationship or not. In case of doubt, you have to sue for your rights. Similar behavior can be observed with banks. There are examples here and on the internet in general. And yes, for me, that justifies such behavior. Both banks and insurance companies use "loopholes" to the disadvantage of their contract partners. I have absolutely no hesitation to do the same.

That is a completely different matter. Here, one can of course argue that one was knowingly deceived (keyword: defeat device). The purchased item has also suffered an actual, measurable loss in value. What loss in value has your property experienced due to the "unknowingly" faulty cancellation instruction?

So the banks cheated you and forced you to sign your loan agreement? Did they take an incredible fraction of one or two percent more in interest than a quarter of a year later? Did the insurance companies rip you off, did they put a gun to your head to sign something that is crap? Or did a phone call just go a bit worse than hoped?

Outrageous! Those bastards belong in jail! All fraudsters, you're right
