I already wrote it in the other thread but here again :)

418€ property tax
197€ wastewater (73 m³)
120€ fresh water
708€ internet 100mbit
600€ for gas
780€ for electricity (3500kwh)
139€ for trash (incl. large black bin, organic, paper, yellow)
261€ building insurance incl. elemental
216€ household insurance
110€ chimney sweep for gas and fireplace
210€ [GEZ]

total is 320€ per month. internet could be cheaper after 2 years, we use significantly less electricity than assumed, the household insurance could be much cheaper with a different insurer. [GEZ] could gladly be abolished. with a lot of hassle you might save about 30€ per month here. surprisingly, heating itself makes up only about 1/6 of the whole. some things are really cheap for the service (e.g. trash), others are basically just rip-offs (e.g. property tax - why did I pay over 50,000€ when the building was built? why the property tax when buying? / income tax etc...).

While the real estate transfer tax is levied on the sale (analogous to value-added tax), the property tax is based on ownership (like the former wealth tax or dog tax). As far as I know, the real estate transfer tax belongs to the state and the property tax to the municipality. That's just how it is... and you probably won't change it.
Somehow, everyone indirectly benefits from the taxes collected. (Road construction, daycare, schools, etc.)

You also forgot janitors, gardeners, household helpers, winter services, window cleaners, etc. ;)

We actually got a quote from the window cleaner today. In April, he will come for a deep cleaning (so far, only a cleaning before moving in has been done) including the front door and garage door. If the quality is good, he will be allowed to come 2-3 times a year in the future :D

Our energy consultant claimed exactly the opposite. His opinion, if a gas connection is already on the property, "take gas" :D

The great thing about gas and air heat pumps is that both are very closely related and both systems now operate at a very high level. Those who do not have gas in the street do not have to rely on outdated oil with a barrel in the garden, but can instead use a modern, mature, equivalent technology. I think that's good!

And yet oil heating systems experienced a renaissance in 2015, precisely because of mature, efficient technology, especially at that price level.

but still didn’t want to have it ...
