All prices related to Gira or Busch Jäger, fully installed, NRW:

- Additional cost per socket: Single € 41.00; Double: € 58.00
- Additional cost for "switchable" sockets: 51.00
- Additional cost per light outlet: € 45.00
- Additional cost per network socket (double socket, CAT-7 cable): € 61.00
- Additional cost for motion detectors (house entrance): depends on the system and cannot be answered flat-rate

Before you complain about your provider’s prices, you should remember that the trade of the wire pullers is the smallest item in the house budget. Many electrical companies have therefore withdrawn from the house construction business with general contractors.

I am quite confident that – if an electrical company is commissioned externally – the total figures on their invoice will be completely different; knowing well that a mixed calculation is also applied here.

Of course, as everywhere: there are outliers downwards as well as upwards

Rhenish greetings

That the electrician only gets a rather small piece of the money pie for his work done and later importance in the house, I have already noticed. We paid a total of €4000 for extras, but that already included a whole lot of fun stuff (e.g. flush-mounted internet radio in the bathroom, which is switched with the light) and a huge bunch of sockets. We also mostly took single sockets (in all children's rooms, guest room, and bedroom); a double socket can later (e.g. during the first renovation) be made by "anyone" if needed. The wiring is in place, another drill hole and new frame are really no problem now.

Hello,

here are the prices, based on the JUNG "AS 500" switch program, fully installed, BW excl. VAT.

- Additional price per socket: simple € 36.00
- Additional price for "switchable" sockets: € 76.30
- Additional price per light outlet: € 37.50
- Additional price per network socket (double socket, CAT-7 cable): € 148.50
- Additional price for motion detector (house entrance): € 139.50

Then my main need for discussion is regarding the network cabling....
Does anyone have experience values for a 19-inch network cabinet (9U) with mounting and grounding kit, fixing kit, power strip, patch panel? My electrician quoted €528 (net)......In addition, there are €180 for inserting, labeling, connecting data cables and €170 for measuring the symmetrical CU cabling according to CAT6....

We have the same switch program and we like it. AND I am really glad that I did electrical work in EL when I see the prices.

@ toxi If I could and had the time, I would do it myself as well. What prices do you consider reasonable?

You mean something like this? But that is only 6U and in my opinion more than sufficient for a single-family house, and it still fits over a door. You can’t manage that with 9U and a ceiling height of 250cm anymore.
