Regarding e-smog: WLAN (2.4 GHz) max allowed transmission power = 0.1W. Modern cell phones: max transmission power 2W, i.e. 20 times that of WLAN and usually in the pocket/in close proximity to the genitals. Microwave (also 2.4 GHz) between 800-1000 watts, i.e. 8,000 to 10,000 times that of WLAN (usually well shielded). DECT phones (max 250mW) or other 433 MHz radio sockets (max 500 mW). Please judge for yourself whether WLAN is the ultimate e-smog producer...

Installation cables do not have stranded wires but a solid wire. Hence the explanation.

Whether duplex or 2x normal will probably not matter much and depends on the preference of the person allowed to install it. I currently have no experience with cable manufacturers, as I have only just used up my very old CAT 5e. I will order a roll of CAT7 from LW Electronic today, but I can only say if it is good when I have used it for the first time.

Because you mentioned the costs. Who is doing what now? Everything done by the electrician, or cables by you + outlet by the electrician, or everything done yourself. Don’t forget patch panel + cable laying and network cabinet. Switch and short patch cables can also be organized online later.

I like your idea of drawing it out. Maybe you have someone in your circle of acquaintances who is good in the field and can take a look from the outside. Over time one becomes “operationally blind.”

So I definitely want to buy the cable myself because I don’t want to rely on the electrician installing something decent on their own...
Besides that, I’d like to install the cable myself if possible.
But my price inquiry was more in the direction of an all-inclusive price excluding the cable costs, basically ready to operate.

You can basically use any common CAT7 installation cable. They all meet the standards, so the differences are only marginal.

Whether you go with DRAKA, LAPP, BTR, LEONI, NEXANS, DÄTWYLER, or something completely different, is actually secondary. I would only advise against NONAME products.

Hello everyone,

I am an electronics technician and I have wired my current house like this.

Duplex network cable Cat 7 from the basement to every room, duplex cable because you are more flexible, for example you can move your router and send a signal back! Never lay just 1 cable, always duplex.

Install a patch panel in the basement, you can do it yourself with a little craft skill.

The cabling should be centralized from every room to the basement, in your case to the HTR room.

If I were building new, every room would have at least one network outlet with 2 connection options on each side, maybe because of my profession. Additionally, I would place a network outlet in the hallway on each floor for an access point.

Costs:

Tool: LSA Plus approx. 25 euros

Network cable: 100 meter roll Duplex Cat 7 approx. 100 euros

Network outlet: Depending on the system approx. 10 euros per outlet.

This information is, if you want to do it yourself, my personal assessment. A professional or electrician will cost you many times more, it simply depends on whether you would trust yourself to do something like this?!

Regards

There are great systems from btr and with lsa plus you get the hang of it after 2 doses. Oh dear, how many I had to assemble during my training. I admire the electricians who have to work through my plan at our customers, so many cables
