These are "normal" prices in this segment, but already steep when you look at the labor (and cable) portion.

I would also ask for prices for double and triple sockets, usually the surcharge there is quite low.

I saved myself that effort. Our electrician installs a standard extra-wide fuse box. The fuses and meters only occupy the left half. On the top right is a patch panel with 24 ports where our outlets are terminated. On the bottom right is a power strip. In between is a mounting system in which, in my opinion, sufficient network technology can be accommodated. Appropriate hangers are also included. The NAS goes next to it, as with tox.

We might possibly have the same NAS . Good idea to use the space above the door ... Do you perhaps have a specific model name for the cabinet and patch panel? Just as an example ... I'm a layman in this area ...

Is it 6U in the picture? That's really not much.

I wanted to put my NAS, a patch panel, switch, and router into one cabinet. I can get Rittal cabinets quite cheaply through the company. Based on your picture, I was thinking 9U.

I have to measure tomorrow how much space is still available. The connection arrived today.

But do you really want to put a NAS into a router (with WLAN???) in the (passively ventilated) case? You shouldn't deliberately expose these things to premature heat death. Without active ventilation, only as few active components as possible should go in there.

I only have the switch and the modem in there, and the modem isn't even mine.

6U are enough, as long as the NAS doesn't have to go in, although that would still fit now. But then it gets tight. No more 19" space would be available.

I got the server cabinet from a new goods supplier on eBay for just under 70 euros. It should be easily found with the picture. The patch panel was brought by my electrician, but it's nothing special.
