I had thought that you would place the sofa with its back against the right wall, so that you would have a view outside AND of the atrium. I thought the TV would go in the niche by the [Gäste-WC]. I would have liked that better for the view. However, it could be that everything might have appeared more "lined up". That's always a thing with the [I-Allräumen].

I really like your entire furnishing - including the Ikea sofa! To make it cozier, you could add a rug by the sofa and some green plants. I've also had a rug under the dining table for a few weeks and love it. Both visually and tactilely underfoot. And it also absorbs sound/reverb.

The atrium with the olive tree will surely be great too. Please send photos when it’s ready.

Thank you very much. We have also considered a rug under the sofa, but so far have not chosen anything specific. In the niche next to the guest bathroom, there is a built-in cupboard/bookshelf (white), and under the TV there will be a black lowboard.

In the end, all the dark furniture should be on one wall and the rest, except for the bathrooms, should be light. In the hallways, white sideboards with the same wood as the dining table/kitchen are hung, creating the "transition" into the otherwise very brightly furnished house.

The area around the kitchen is meant to be the focal point of the house and should be highlighted accordingly in terms of color.

Of course, everything that makes the whole space cozy and "personal" is still missing. Personal items, pictures, decorations, plants, etc. These will come bit by bit with moving in (and in the years afterward). Small things that you hardly notice but make a big difference have already been ordered, e.g. dark wooden feet for the sofa (from PrettyPegs) to replace the chrome ones... everything in our home is matte, and those don’t fit at all.

The wardrobe is finally fully assembled as well. 6m Pax and 3.20m Malm with a deeper custom-made top plate to better utilize the gap. In hindsight, the handles annoy me... Tip-on (like everywhere else) would have been cleaner, simpler, and cheaper

The tile laying pattern is also rubbish; we should have listened to the tiler. I somehow hoped that the plank-like tiles running the full length between the cabinets would be worth the fact that it's not perfect in the back... I was mistaken;)

...is not a stay-room with you, rather a quick-pass-through room...

We also have Malm. I am now annoyed by the non-automatic extension. It's just Malm. But you can replace it later.

If it’s only the automatic closing, it can be retrofitted with the MARKHUS drawer damper.

Interesting. You install them, I'll follow :D We have 8 drawers and have actually lived 7 years without them. That's really a tough life... lol. I've saved them, thanks!
