Well, in the green forum you certainly weren’t referred here with the expectation that you would then receive applause: the floor plan concept is no good - the hillside location is a clear contraindication for a compact floor plan (if one can call a donut / atrium house that, but after all a square is equally extended both widthwise and lengthwise). Here it is clearly recommended to place the narrow side into the slope (so the front house crosswise and the rear house lengthwise), as well as not having slab-on-grade houses; possibly split level. That shouldn’t be foreign to an 80s fan, because conceptually your chancellor bungalow originates from that time (or is transposed to it). With split level you could also add the appropriate light bands in the quarter-circle cross-section.

Hillside houses can be kept dry

324 sqm 18x18 that is a lump
42 sqm hallway
25 sqm atrium
20 sqm dressing room for 6 m closet
30 sqm for bathrooms for max 4 people

Because of the square shape and the central atrium you squeeze the rooms into a corset

11ant is not wrong

Square practical good applies to chocolate not to hillside houses

I certainly do not expect applause, I just want to avoid mistakes. That's why an architect is now at work. I also realize that if I want to build more "practically" or reasonably, I have to say goodbye to this form at least. I have pretty much fixated on it, especially the atrium and the massive form actually appeal to me quite a bit. I have already roughly planned a split level and then dug the basement into the slope, that was also the architect's first spontaneous idea. Let's see if he comes up with something in that direction.

Worse: square and atrium tear the floor plan apart, the square compresses the rooms and the atrium blows them out to the edge. Nevertheless, the main reason for my "veto" is that the plot and the floor plan are truly opposed to each other.

Then just separate the house and the atrium, and build the atrium separately next to it in the garden: as a pergola / open-air tea pavilion

The idea of the atrium has something going for it, and I can understand that one can fall in love with architectural details. The danger is always that you put your everyday living preferences behind them. For me, the atrium as a focal point for the family is much too small in relation to the spatial requirements.

You can also realize the idea of a central bright place for the family by building a kind of convertible glass roof over a central living area. There is no law that says light can only come from the side. With a bit of courage and skill, you can completely save yourself the hallways and work here and there with half-height partitions. This creates a kind of living courtyard with kitchen, dining, and living areas and surrounding rooms for privacy and work.

Just a suggestion.
