Yes, putting different feet underneath or placing a board of suitable height between the corpus and the foot was also my idea.


regarding 1:
If I install a pedestal, the entire unit will be raised by that amount. So with the top edge of the upper fridge door, I will also be that much higher and thus in the area of the door above the fridge. But I want this 40 cm door separately(!) to install the TV there. And if without the TV, I don't want to have to open the fridge every time to reach the compartment on top.

regarding 2:
The necessity is due to optics. Do you have an IKEA number for the 40 cm shelves? I want to take a look at them. It is important that the shelf boards have rounded or 45° beveled front edges. (see corner shelf pictures) So NOT like IKEA number: 702.110.37.

regarding 3:
Good idea to use side panels as a base. At least if it is the standard pedestal set back towards the wall. But we want the DEKO pedestal (302.613.07). That protrudes forward under the corpus/front. That probably won’t work with the 13mm side panel. What can I do here?

about the dishwasher:
Good hint, the dishwasher will also have to be 4 cm higher.
It will be an AEG FSK93800P. It says 82-90 cm. We'll see if that is really necessary. It has a "sliding front".


Yes, with a pedestal set back to the rear, you have more options. But with the Bodbyn front with DEKO pedestal (see picture) rather no option.

That doesn't work when you look at the installation instructions for fridge/freezer combinations from IKEA. Such a distribution of fridge/freezer capacity results in about a 70 cm high freezer section. IKEA solves the installation with a 220cm carcass by inserting a pedestal at the bottom so that the 80cm door can be used below and a 140cm door is used above. Item no. 499.207.14

To my knowledge, slanted shelves are not available at IKEA.

Regarding the decorative plinth... you should also reconsider the practical aspect. Where are your toes standing? Mine are always slightly underneath the carcass.

An alternative would be a manufacturer like Häcker or Schüller or similar.

OK, here’s some feedback on what it has become now.
So, I put the KG combination on a suitably high pedestal, the space underneath is for mice and spiders (Kühlschrank unten.JPG).
The space above is too small for an LCD TV and IKEA only has doors in 20cm increments. So a 140cm door had to be installed instead of a 100cm door (Kühlschranktüren.JPG), which only allows access to the space above the fridge by opening the fridge door first (Kühlschrank oben.JPG).

Then I didn’t raise the countertop by increasing the base (the base is fixed at 8cm and only available like that, Sockelleiste.JPG), so I put a so-called IKEA cover panel in a matching color under the countertop. This raised it about 2cm, which my wife just about accepted (Erhöhung Arbeitsplatte.JPG).
I assembled the corner shelf from IKEA cover panels (Eckregal.JPG). It’s not chamfered at 45 degrees in the front, but my wife was OK with it, so the project (apart from the niche cladding) is finished.
