I do see advantages in normal kitchen use when this door is in the corner. But that is and remains a controversial topic.

How do you see it now budget-wise?
A bit more would be possible, but I have actually set 600k as the limit for now. With some own contribution, I have so far considered that realistic.

30 k exterior facilities if it's only material, quite a lot is possible 50 k for furnishings I find acceptable or I still see a buffer there. Then there is simply a new kitchen, the rest is taken over. It doesn't all have to be new. 520 k including ancillary construction costs for 170 sqm should be feasible. Ultimately, it depends on the discipline.

I see it exactly the same way.
And it doesn't have to be the most expensive kitchen. Of course it has to be durable but not always the absolute top of the line.

What do you list under ancillary construction costs? Usually also development, surveying, etc. Everything related to the property is already settled. The building application is being processed via an exemption procedure (and has even been approved). What is of course still needed is a structural engineer (ordered through the construction company) and the costs for the building application. What else would you have calculated?

I can almost ... almost see our sauna in the garden ... within arm's reach!

The space has already been created:

Wait with the "most expensive" kitchen until the kids are out of the house :D
Until then, it HAS to withstand something!
