Thank you. We also still have an L in mind .. The architect is supposed to try to develop that again .. The carport seems fixed because you are allowed to place it directly on the boundary .. Leaving the child downstairs is actually not an option at the moment .. He is not even a year old and won’t start pulling himself up that quickly. He is supposed to get his little "realm" upstairs when he is 8-10 years old (half storage and half for him). That’s why the children’s room is not 20m² + X large but relatively small, so that we have a later secondary use.

Of course you can build upon the design. No design is ever completely finished... after all, you get a sketch from the architect so that you can engage with it and possibly make changes.

I thought you wanted a bungalow, where the staircase should play a minor role.

Well, then it just takes until he's 12 and wants to bring the girls home. Until then, he just has to make do with what’s there .. grrr

Hm yes, well, I was just thinking about good accessibility because without a basement something inevitably ends up in the attic. And hauling something like a Life Fitness cross trainer (not one of those things from the hardware store) up there isn’t that easy.. Or maybe I’m just worrying a little too much about it..

That would not exactly be my stair planning criterion
