It would be boring if everyone lived in the same place. In my opinion, the existing plot primarily determines the layout!
Best regards

And yet most houses are taken from the catalog, for example the mentioned Flair 131. How come?

For lack of better knowledge and imagination, the tendency not to spend money on the expensive architect, the tendency towards more prefabricated house construction, and the resulting absence of a "free" architect – take your pick.

The Flair certainly has a very functional floor plan in itself, which, when considered alone, perhaps has a larger overlap with suitable plots of land matching the requirements of the builders. But just because it often fits reasonably well does not mean it is the best floor plan or even the most beautiful.

I even believe that many builders who have built a Flair could have had a floor plan that was more optimal/more beautiful/more individual for themselves; it simply didn’t come about due to the reasons mentioned in the first paragraph.

This "fate" is probably shared with the world-famous most-photographed houses of architecture magazines of all decades. For a party, one would probably like to have the Barcelona Pavilion, but for everyday life just as little as Fallingwater or Burg Eltz. What I don’t like about your house is the plot: 550 sqm for ordinary mortals and 80 cm slope over the entire depth of the plot just doesn’t work. One must not forget that the average earner cannot build his house according to the motto "if I were rich once." A Flair is therefore "best-selling" because it fits particularly often into the triangle of family, budget, and plot. The fourth corner "architecture award candidate" often has to be sacrificed by Müllermeyer-schultz to fulfill the other three as an average family. Examples of successful solutions for this can also be found on the net – although not as easily as when googling "dream house." Whoever wants to bake a cake must have seven things – here they are already: With that, you already have the essential framework from which the suitable house results. The solution lies in us
