What is the efficiency of modern gas boilers actually?

Usually over 100%, theoretically gas condensing boilers can achieve up to 108% efficiency.

How is that supposed to work... Whoever can do that is a rich man

May I bring our January consumption into play here?
-Heated area approx. 180 sqm (underfloor heating temperature 20°, resulting in 22° room temperature... hot water at 46°)
-Normal shower/washing behavior
-3 people (toddler + 2 adults)
-Air-water heat pump latest model from Vaillant
-January was cold here, down to -18° at night.

Result: 2000 kWh![emoji43]

1000 kWh alone in January

I would also find 2,000 kWh still a low amount for January. That would be just about 100 euros for gas. Averaged over the year, you might then come to around 60 euros per month, if at all. In the old house (built 1997, 200 m²), we consumed over 20,000 kWh per year, even though we are seldom at home.
