How can four people only use 1800kWh in the whole house? I always have to wonder how wasteful we must be, as two of us use about twice as much despite exclusively A+ or better and LED lighting, etc...

As I said, I can't explain it myself. In the apartment, I always suspected that maybe something was wired wrong...

In the utility room, there is even a GU10 spotlight with 4x50 watt spots... I want to replace them gradually when they burn out... otherwise, only the two bathrooms have LED lamps and the outdoor lighting... children’s room/bedroom/living area/hallway have normal halogen bulbs (40 watts shine like 60 watts). The kitchen has a lamp with 4xG9 bulbs (one 30 watt)... but here too I have already eagerly taken advantage of offers and want to switch to LED gradually. The refrigerator should only be A+ or AA+ because of NoFrost. Washing machine AAA+, but almost daily in use because 2 kids constantly get dirty...

I think it’s due to our ONE television (40 inch - energy efficiency class B), which is actually only used in the evening for 1.5 hours by the grown-up, and then for another 1.5 hours by us. The PC is also connected to this, so only one is used at a time... computer or TV...

I was shocked to find out during the gas provider switch that we consumed over 8,000 kWh of gas from 14.10.16 to 14.01.17. The screed drying took place in August, so it is completed, and the consumption from mid-August to 14.10 was 3,600 kWh

About our house:
- Semi-detached house 180 sqm living space without basement, 3 floors, gable roof
- Underfloor heating everywhere
- Controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery
- Gas boiler without solar
- KfW 70 built in 2016
- 3-person household
- "Normal" shower/bath behavior, so no full baths or multiple baths a day..
- Rare and short ventilation because controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery is permanently in use

I find the 8,000 kWh for the period quite high, what do you think?

There are still more gas heating systems represented than I thought. At our place, 30 cbm = 330 kWh go through daily at the moment because the gas heating is running in drying program.

Heated area is about 185 sqm, no KfW, one roof window is still missing.

Our heating (district heating) has "drawn" an average of 9.5 kW over two weeks in the heating-up program, which is 228 kWh per day. What is the efficiency of modern gas boilers actually? With district heating, it is 100%, so the calculated energy is really completely used as heat in the house.
