Good morning dear Ikea community!
At the end of March, we ordered a new kitchen for our new apartment, where we currently live with only a provisional kitchen (with IKEA oven and cooktop), at IKEA Kassel, with a 3.10 meter long Personlig countertop. Unfortunately without assembly, as it will turn out...
Last Friday everything was delivered. Respect to the two delivery men, the older one simply carried the countertop on his shoulder up to the 3rd floor!
Last night or rather early this morning, we assembled the cabinet carcasses and unpacked the countertop. We had to find out that the ordered cutouts for the sink and cooktop (both of course from IKEA ) were only indicated but not executed, i.e. where ordered there were about 2 or 3 cm deep and roughly equally wide "saw circles," with the countertop still completely intact in the middle of the cutouts.
Why were the cutouts not completely cut out? How are we supposed to do this now – without the appropriate tools? The boards are still too thick at the saw circles to be broken out (probably very untidily).
Thank you in advance for your advice!
Best regards,
The Münscher family
