Anything but vinyl. Absolutely horrible in terms of feel. At the latest barefoot simply not nice (sticky feeling).
There is also parquet, laminate, and tile in comparable thicknesses. With vinyl, make sure it has similar thickness. Then you can switch later without having to adjust frames and transitions.

Instead of oiled parquet, try comparing matte lacquered. Visually similar, but cheaper and much more durable

I know what you mean. I also had a sticky one as a sample and didn't choose it because of that property.

There are many different vinyls or "design coverings," ranging from sticky to pleasant to hard/smooth, which is the complete opposite of sticky. Nowadays, there are even glueable ones with the Blue Angel label.

The characteristics are initially very convincing, I think, but of course it is plastic. Some more, some less.
