Yes, or just vinyl in dark tile look... the walls have rough plaster, which also needs to be painted white first.

The doors should be removed and the frames painted white. The favorite color combination would be white walls and gray floor...

I thought, for example, of Planeo-klick-vinyl

I have a sample of it here and it makes a very good impression overall. Just don’t want to make a mistake that one regrets later ...

Hello "thefresh79".
I have just become aware of your entry.
As the owner (not as a tenant), you basically have all possibilities for the expansion, as long as the connection heights (to adjacent components and/or rooms) are not exceeded.
The question is how much money you want to invest and how long the floor should perform its service without major renovation needs.
What I mean by this: With little money, one will (unprofessionally) lay PVC planks over the tiles, perhaps fixing them with a rolling fixation so they don't rise immediately. And one will only enjoy the new floor for a few months, which will increasingly become independent; especially since the joint patterns of the old tile covering will increasingly appear on the new PVC surface.
With a bit more effort, the tiles are thoroughly cleaned, sanded, and primed, then leveled with 2mm of filler over the entire area. Afterwards, you can choose whatever covering you want. Without later joint patterns!
One of the most expensive but highest-quality solutions would then be a surface coating with a decorative synthetic resin, which must be suitable for indoor use (these are most today).
Here you have infinitely many variation possibilities from solid colors to those with color chip scattering (flakes) to a multicolored, flowing unique floor.
Build-up height here for all variants: approx. 3mm to 5mm.
These are just a few examples here, which I only want to list as orientation.

Hello,

thank you very much for your advice and tips! I was thinking of staying around €5000, which probably rules out the synthetic resin option!?

In the coming days, I will measure again the distance from the balcony door to the floor tile...

What do you think about tile on tile?

How large is the area to be renovated? With the "tile on tile" option, we can only work with a reactive resin adhesive! The costs for the tile option and the coating are approaching each other! Construction height here at least 13-15 mm. Regards: KlaRa

Hello, I'm bringing up this old topic again. Is there now a good option that can be laid over a tiled floor and worked with? It also has to be suitable for underfloor heating, not build up too high (patio door), and not cost a fortune. Does anyone have any ideas?!
