Which cabinets would you recommend for the cellar?

I have had a few Ivar shelves in the basement for drink crates etc. for over 20 years. I have never maintained anything on them. I wouldn't know why.

Because the wood gets scratched? Or a applied glaze flakes off?

Sure, the wood does get scratched sometimes, but it is a basement shelf. And in the basement stand my oldest Ivar ... now over 40 years old.

The question is also how many meters the original poster already plans if Ivar is supposed to cost over 1000 euros. You can get about 7 to 8 meters for that.

I think in the basement you can definitely need shelves deeper than just 60 cm. Small stuff etc. is usually easier to find if stored in 30 cm deep shelves.

I'm surprised that the IVAR comes to €1000. Did you choose a lot of accessories? We come to less than €1000 for 50cm IVAR for the dressing room, about 4 meters, but including drawers and so on. How many meters do you want to set up with it?

The heavy-duty shelves without sharp edges also cost a bit more per meter. I wouldn't take the really cheap ones there.

We want to use our small basement room maximally as a storage room (is our only storage room). Yes, we have planned approximately 8m of cabinets. Basically, the cabinets all around along the walls.

Ultimately, everyone has to decide for themselves what they want to have in the cellar. If you go in there every day and feel like organizing your storage jars, wood can be nicer. If you want to put down your circular saw, a metal shelf can be sufficient. I personally consider search processes in Nebenräumen to be "somewhat nice".
