Which cabinets would you recommend for the cellar?

We have gotten into the habit of sorting out things we don't use and giving them away or throwing them away. I have already cleared out quite a few basements during moves, and rarely were there things that the resident had used in the last 5-10 years. 90% is junk that is put away and then the heirs throw it in the container 40 years later.

I always scold my wife because she spends (not necessarily little) money on plastic boxes to store things that no one will ever need again.

Just a tip, before you end up with 14 running meters of basement shelving :D

I believe storage space was asked for, not frugality tips from the dispossessed.

Sorry for the missing information.

We want to use the small storage space as best as possible.

We actually want to store all kinds of things there.

Deko ([Weinachts], [oster] or other decorations)
Boxes with products where the remaining accessories are inside
And otherwise just all kinds of things that you don’t currently need but also don’t want to throw away

There are countless things that can be usefully stored in cellar shelves. Even when you sort out unused items. Seasonal decorations, supplies, tools, vacation gear like skis/winter clothes, gardening stuff. Pretty much everything you only need at specific times of the year. By the way, I also belong to the group that keeps [OVPs]. I sell many things second-hand again when I no longer need them, and [OVPs] usually increase the sales success and also raise the price a bit.

Yes, I always collect all the OVPs from all devices. And yes, quite a lot accumulates. I think we will take the Ikea Bror shelves. Does anyone of you have experience with the shelves?

Personal experience no, but we once had it in closer consideration. I had then either read or heard in a blog or a video that they are not as stable and robust as "normal" heavy-duty shelves. Whether that is true, I cannot say, but you could research specifically on that again. We then moved away from Bror again.
