We have not implemented it yet, but in the end, they will be "normal" heavy-duty shelves from the hardware store. We already have some of those in the attic. Ikea Ivar would be my favorite, but for us, it’s about the shed, and I have concerns about the wood. It can definitely get a bit damp/wet in there.
Does anyone of you have experience with the shelves?
Have you looked at them yourself? I might be wrong, but aren’t these the shelves you rather put in the living area if you want an industrial/loft style?
I can imagine that the paint scratches very quickly if you load them a bit more.
We haven't implemented it yet, but in the end there will be "normal" heavy-duty shelves from the hardware store. We already have some of those in the attic. Ikea IVAR would be my favorite, but for us it's about the shed, and I have concerns about the wood. It can definitely get a bit damp/wet in there.
I had IVAR in the shed for 2 years, nothing happened to them. So as long as they are largely protected from wind and rain, pure moisture doesn't bother them.
I think we will take the Ikea Bror shelves. Does anyone of you have experience with the shelves?
I advise against the Bror shelves or at least take a very close look before you buy them. We bought one for our son's student kitchen. The assembly was quite annoying. The shelves are connected to the frame with a (I have no idea what it's called) rivet/crimp/pressure connection, meaning several hammer blows. It's impossible to quickly reposition the shelves. The shelf looks nice (loft style as Yvonne wrote fits), serves its purpose for air fryer, microwave, and kitchen utensils, but I wouldn’t want it as a basement shelf. When it comes to flexibility, IVAR is unbeatable. We still had lots of parts left over from the children's/living room and equipped the pantry cellar with them, and after over 20 years we are still very satisfied.
