Life is too short for bad tools. Therefore: Lithofin. That stuff is simply magical for tile floors. You get what you pay for. I assigned this job on MyHammer for 700€ or so. The two guys were hardworking, but they didn’t finish. Still a big help amid all the moving stress; the worst was done (windows, floors, etc.) If you really want it done well, in my opinion, nothing less than 1500€ will do. You have to decide if you want to spend that.

That’s certainly true. And it’s clear that it won’t be cheap. Then you just save on a few bushes, etc. in the garden at the beginning.

Regardless of whether we hire someone again before the move, I would like to clean a bit before the handover. Do you know if I can safely clean the windows with a glass-ceramic scraper (for paint residues or stuck-on dirt), all-purpose cleaner, Sidolin, and microfiber cloths? Do I risk scratches with that? I once read something online about what to watch out for when cleaning windows in new buildings, but I can't find it anymore. We have plastic windows from Schüco.

We also have plastic windows from Schüco. I would be very careful. If there are scratches that are not your fault, it could be difficult if you clean them yourself before the inspection.

How did you handle that? If I don’t touch anything, I won’t see any scratches during acceptance anyway, the windows and windowsills are completely dirty. Or are they cleaned during acceptance in the presence of the construction company?

Windows could not be accepted because they were dirty. That is how it was recorded in our protocol. However, we had built ready for occupancy. The cleaning company appointed by the main contractor then went through all the windows with us and showed us what they had noticed.
