I also posted 2 quotes with sources, but apparently that is not allowed....ok no problem, I probably didn't read the terms of use. It said something like, contributions to the municipality depending on the country and property size and chimney sweep depending on the country, there is a regulation. But as I said, just google terms like chimney sweep costs or property tax costs, that already brings a lot of clarity.

How do you come to 300€ ancillary costs? I read the thread, everyone only names one amount but no items with individual prices. Property tax 30? Building insurance 25€ Household liability = in private liability Heating 50€ Hot water, water, sewage 50€ Electricity 60€ GEZ 15€ Chimney sweep ?€ Street cleaning ?€ Other fees or similar? Otherwise, I can’t think of anything. Can this be corrected, completed? I am also very interested in what a house costs to maintain.

Hello,

The exact data, for example regarding property tax, differ locally; therefore no one can provide numbers tailored to your or other users' questions.

Basically, it is quite simple: the ancillary rental costs that have been incurred so far must also be calculated in your own home - but at 100%, meaning without considering any distribution keys. Inquire with the responsible municipality about the measurement amount and multiplier rate for property tax - this is sometimes also freely available on the municipality's website. Ask the supplier about the fees for gas, water, sewage, and electricity - there are also immense differences here; the same applies to the chimney sweep. Then inquire about the costs for the necessary insurances, add phone and GEZ, and you will know exactly what fixed costs you need to consider. You are free to choose the portion for reserves for maintenance and possible repairs. Based on experience, I consider over €400.00/month realistic for fixed costs overall.

Kind regards

The property tax is also not the majority of the expenses. How do you come to €400? Would you break that down? Are you a homeowner?
