In 2017 we bought our 650m² building plot with an adjacent 1500m² forest for a total of €140,000 in Schleswig-Holstein. It is about 20 minutes by car to Hamburg.

You either calculate €140,000 / 2150 m² = €66/m²
or €140,000 / 650 m² (building land only) = €215/m²

No matter how you calculate it, we are happy with our plot. The house is built in the second row and behind the house our garden begins, about 30m from the terrace, our forest starts. There is nothing better than listening to the soothing sounds of the forest in the morning on the terrace with a coffee in hand... :)

I believe my brother shot the bird. In 1999, with a lottery win in Berlin Grunewald, he bought a 1400 sqm plot of land at a price of the equivalent of 690 euros per sqm. Well, today the land prices are somewhere beyond 8000 euros.

NRW, Münsterland, small village with about 20,000 inhabitants, March 2020 308m² at €340 (+€8000 for the realtor :mad: thought it was "expensive back then"). A few weeks ago, a plot of land about 150m further away was sold because the construction fell through at €520 per m². I must have gotten a bargain :p. Nah, I'm just happy to have gotten a plot at all and then only 150m away from my daughter – a dream.
