Here we are at about €1300/sqm. Near the city center residential area in the smallest large city of Bavaria.

Normally, developers grab the plots and divide them for terraced houses or apartment buildings, where the old, very loose development plan allows it.

Eastern NRW = ~130k for ~750m2 directly from the municipality

Big city NRW, end of 2018: ~500m² for ~550€/m².

2019, Landkreis Göttingen, Neubaugebiet
718m² purchased for 120,000, i.e. 167 Euro/m²

In 2017 we bought our 650m² building plot with an adjacent 1500m² forest for a total of 140,000 € in Schleswig-Holstein. It is about 20 minutes by car to Hamburg.

Either you calculate 140,000 € / 2150 m² = 66 €/m²
or 140,000 € / 650 m² (only building land) = 215 €/m²

No matter how you calculate it, we are happy with our plot. The house is built in the 2nd row and behind the house our garden begins, about 30m from the terrace, our forest begins. There is nothing better than listening to the soothing sounds of the forest in the morning on the terrace with a coffee in hand.... :)
