Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, I don’t have a floor plan to share yet. But we are currently wondering whether we should include a utility room on the upper floor or not. In the utility room, we would place a washing machine, dryer, and sink. We are planning two children's rooms that would be directly adjacent to the utility room. One of the children's rooms would be used right from move-in – our child is now 1.5 years old. Another child is planned. The architect told us that he doesn’t think one of the children could sleep when the washing machine or dryer is running because they would simply be too loud. Additionally, the vibrations / noise would also carry through to the ceiling above. Now we are uncertain... Who among you has a utility room on the upper floor? How is it with the noise from the washing machine / dryer? Have you had any problems with it? What measures have you taken to solve this problem?
Best regards
