I wouldn't say that. I do believe that some people here largely try to leave a small footprint. But I also don't find anything wrong with cutting down a tree within a designated settlement area if a replacement planting is made according to the applicable regulations. It can also be noted that a tree binds particularly much CO2 during its growth phase. Furthermore, ecological calculations could also take into account the increased resource consumption, because you have to wash your car and windows every two weeks as well as renew the plaster every 10 instead of every 20 years, and regularly spray your plants against aphids. I am not sure right now why some speak here of low "Klebbelastung" or what that depends on. My experiences in the city are definitely characterized by a lot of honeydew near lindens.
