So at the moment I am a street parker in a street full of lindens. Presumably that’s also where my dislike of lindens comes from. The lindens produce so unbelievably much sticky dirt, it’s really not nice. I have to scrape that stuff off the entire car. There are wasps all over the car. Maybe only someone who has had this experience can understand that. ;) But it’s not really about the car for me, it would be parked under the carport.
However, I am more worried about the photovoltaic system and the facade of the house in this regard. That stuff will surely also smear and stick all over the photovoltaic panels. Then it’s not only about the annoying appearance, but also about losses in productivity. The facade plaster will certainly also suffer from it, and it also attracts a lot of wasps. And: in strong wind I still see my house exposed to possible damage. Falling branches, the entire crown bending towards the house. But of course, that is initially only a hypothetical danger, no idea whether it will actually be the case in the end.
Cutting down trees to produce green electricity is very likely to make ecological sense. Just calculate how much coal power generation you can save if the photovoltaic system contributes to self-sufficiency with a high efficiency. A replacement or compensatory planting is probably always required anyway. And well, who was here first... If you go by that, then probably nothing should be built anymore. ;)
I can’t provide a better picture just yet. On the drawing, the linden is on the right, my property is on the left. The boundary is the drawn line. The house is supposed to be built 3 m from the drawn line. Better pictures can be provided later.
As I said, I am not yet firmly decided that the tree has to go. I just want to see whether my thoughts are completely absurd and whether I would even have any recourse.
Many greetings!
