I also don’t think that will work. However, WilhelmRo’s calculation is not correct either. Getting rid of the basement doesn’t save 70k. Depending on the ground, maybe 50, but maybe only 40. Excluding the outdoor area with [EL] is self-deception. You have to at least include the material costs and probably also costs for equipment (excavator, vibrating plate). No one wants to live in a house completely without an outdoor area; then you end up crawling over slippery OSB boards through mud to your entrance for months or even years. I think realistically you can only save money by simply planning a bit smaller and leaving out the garage entirely. The bathroom fittings don’t sound cheap either, maybe you can save there as well. I wouldn’t do without the basement.
