I like the house! At least it's not boring standard stuff :-) I would probably have opted for more bathroom space but fewer bedrooms and carved out a utility room upstairs. But those are personal preferences. Did you then realize the kitchen with the island standing at an angle? I would be curious to see photos of that!

And a return picture of the house? Or is that too personal.

I a) linked the construction blog here back then with all the pictures, b) yes, the kitchen is exactly as planned. The link should be found here on Hausbauforum, there are more offers than just the forum ;) Upstairs is a utility room and from there an alcove for suitcases, tools, and decorations branches off. Laundry is done in the utility room. The bathroom is a bit different, as is the dressing room... pictures have been posted now and then. The freezer room on the ground floor has a free wall where a kitchen unit is installed. Basically, I would plan it the same way again. The bedroom needs the space for ironing :P The house could have been half a meter deeper. Then the office would be roomier for exercising, and the freezer/guest WC different. I am happy about the risers in the upper area of the stairs so that the wardrobe fits underneath. I am on the road for a few days... let’s see if I post a few photos then.

Oh, the staircase is straight at the landing. Just want to say: opinions from anonymous others are important to get the hint to deal with things you don’t see yourself. But there is criticism that is actually sometimes silly. Then you don’t know whether it’s really poor planning or just someone who can’t put themselves in the situation.
