That is just funny. Suggested greeting: "We've been waiting for you for a long time. Nice that you're finally here. The key is under the doormat, go ahead and make some coffee, we'll be there in 2 minutes."

That's true - but with the general contractor you can't just tick this under "Extras"

Well, unfortunately, the majority of interested parties get their information from the television. The first wish is always: The camera must have WLAN and you should be able to see everything on the phone, preferably in 4K, and of course, you should only be disturbed if someone actually breaks in and not by the spider that spins a web in front of the camera. Then you explain to the person that this is wishful thinking.

Sounds plausible. If it’s organized gangs, the footage probably won’t help anyway. I’m still seriously considering it. I ordered windows in RC2N. The roller shutter slats are aluminum. At least that way they have to struggle for a few extra seconds. There won’t be any valuable jewelry here worth taking. In that respect, there’s nothing to lose. Still, you want to avoid the uneasy feeling that someone unfamiliar was in your house. Depending on how well the residential ventilation system works, all the windowsills are simply blocked with flowerpots. At least that way they can’t get in unnoticed at night.

It is usually the case that there is hardly anything to gain in the new buildings. Most are broke after the house construction. Burglaries still happen and what is there gets stolen.

In our town and also in the neighboring town, the first break-ins were delayed for a few years. By then, some money is available again.
