In the last 14 months, there have been no problems whatsoever with three (out of three) of the USB sockets I mentioned here. With Jung, Gira, and Busch-Jaeger, etc., you certainly also pay for the name and design. I do not want to rule out that the (brand) quality also plays a role here. However, I am unable to assess whether and how this is noticeable.

The NoNames have also been running perfectly for me for years. I had the first one installed maybe 7 years ago already in the rental apartment by the kitchen unit. Now I would have liked to install the brand-name parts in the kitchen. But for my switch program, there simply is no original module with two USB ports.

I would reconsider USB. We thought about it and decided against it. USB is currently evolving. Quite a few mobiles already have USB-C. Who knows what will come in the next few years...

I'm not really a fan of the fixed USB sockets. Phone chargers nowadays charge with 30 - 50W. Probably even more in the future. Then the phone or tablet is quickly ready to use again. However, the fixed Busch Jäger sometimes only output 3W, meaning the phone is still not fully charged early in the morning. Tablets, especially from Apple, don't even accept such low power levels. Sure, it's enough for a fitness tracker, but for that, the effort is too great for me.

That's exactly what I want to point out. USB is changing. Anyone who has tried to navigate the specification jungle gets dizzy.

I admit, out of habit we only have Apple devices/watches, if they have to charge painfully slowly at the USB sockets, then I'll cancel them again..

You only get the cables without plugs at the moment and we have more devices than plugs and thought to get around the problem of the ever-disappearing plugs that way
