There are always these adapter things that have all sorts of stuff on the outside and inside still have a Schukodose. You can then always adapt them to the state of the art. And they still have a night light or a fan or whatever.

Again for the OP (haven't read the other 9 pages): We have 4 spots in the entire bathroom, one of them directly above the shower. Our shower is flush with the floor and measures 100x120 with a rather narrow door opening. The single spot directly in the shower feels more than enough. For your shower, I would consider 2 spots. Especially if additional light can enter from outside over a half-height wall. One spot and the incoming light through the opening is plenty for us; our shower walls are all fully built up to the top.

I don't know what Busch Jäger is doing; maybe they are less well equipped than the no-name brands. The rest is polemic nonsense.

Every normal USB socket delivers at least 2A (i.e. 10W). With that, the iPhone 12 is fully charged in 2.5 hours.

Nonsense... just because it's printed on it doesn't mean a phone charges with 30 to 50W. An iPhone 12 never draws more than 18W, even with a 65A power supply. By the way, it only draws 18W briefly at the beginning if the battery is completely empty. After that, it is strictly throttled:

From 0% to 100%:
18W: 1:40 h
10W (2A): 2:35 h
5W (1A): 3:19 h

Please keep your nonsense to yourself and don't bother the forum with it. How could I have even mentioned the insignificant Busch Jäger with 700mA while you have the reference NoNames on your side. Apple does not accept anything under 1A and that is often found and was the standard until recently. And yes, Apple is known for small batteries, therefore only 2.5h with low power. My phone draws over 6A anyway and does not need 2.5h despite having a 5000mAh battery. And the trend is towards more power, as you can see from the constantly stronger power supplies. The socket in the wall is fixed, but they don't want to change it every few years.

And several smartphone manufacturers have already announced 100W and 120W chargers. Believe it or not.

Whatever. Think about the plug. No absolute standard. USB-A, USB-C. Use both? Only one? What's next? Then better put a socket and a power supply in. Then you don't have to worry about where to put it. It’s annoying if you have USB-A or C at the bedside table and the device wants something else again in the near future.
