Spot lighting / arrangement / quantity

Our bathroom is about 13.5 sqm, 1 x 1m window in the east, 1 x 1.26m window in the north. We have planned 9 ceiling spots and lighting on the left and right of the mirror. In our case, the spot costs €70 in the suspended ceiling; in the concrete ceiling it would have cost five times as much per spot :eek:

We have a 15.3 sqm bathroom with 2 x 1.76m windows. We really have no idea yet how to plan the lamps. As I said, we will certainly have to pay for the spot, just like the light bulb. But back to my previous question: Can I buy such spots from a big online retailer for €10-20, or are they no good? Additionally the light bulb and done? Or how should I imagine it?

Yes - you just need the housings from GU and power from the electrician.

If it is not included, someone has to provide it. Either yourself or you have your general contractor take care of it.

As for the 10-20€ spots, I can't say, but personally I think, what could possibly go wrong? Buying and trying would be my approach.

I think it's nonsense. Wrong: total nonsense. The bathroom does not consist only of "the mirror". There is a shower niche and a toilet in the corner, and it is not very small. Illuminating all of that with one mirror light = nonsense.

Matter of opinion. It depends on the dimensioning of the lights on the mirror. In the shower, there were already spotlights provided; it was only about an additional ceiling light. I then think that is nonsense. In the bathroom, you don't want harsh lighting, but a cozy atmosphere.

We have recessed lights from ansorg in the entrance area and from Luxvenum in the bathroom. The latter have a standard diameter, a low depth, and offer good value for money. Note that some lights have separate drivers for the LEDs, which you should be able to accommodate.

I personally would have chosen something like pendant lights over the counter. It just feels more homely than spotlights :-) The lamp in the middle of the kitchen can be spotlights from the same series.
