Hello,
The argument is seriously flawed. Anyone who actually watches the shows regularly quickly realizes that most of the "cheated" builders did indeed hire a (supposed) expert. The problem is more likely distinguishing the genuine from the fake expert, which some people are simply overwhelmed by. You also can’t expect (although maybe it should become mandatory?) that all builders register beforehand at the house construction forum and inform themselves about what a proper house costs.
Now I gladly return your "compliment" from earlier – that’s typical kaho again.
The raison d'être of these shows – apart from the fact that they are dramatized from A to Z – is in most cases simply the fact that the builders shown there wanted to buy a Bentley at the price of a Lupo. Only very few builders have had bad luck with their reputable providers, and you generally won’t find those in forums or on TV. As everywhere else, there are always two sides to a coin.
One example of many, which I experienced firsthand and can describe here since I am obviously not a fan of certain providers; no advertising can be attributed to me.
One sunny autumn day in the Rhineland, a prefab house was to be assembled and its installation was being filmed. What every crane operator wishes for happened – it was windless, and the assembly of the walls went smoothly. This didn’t fit the "documenting" film crew’s script. So the house had to be dismantled again and they had to wait for windy weather. Only after these scenes – shaking walls – were in the can did the filmmakers leave satisfied.
Rhineland greetings
