So now I have to add my two cents: This comment is totally hollow because the author does not want to make this compromise. I think the goal is to minimize avoidable burdens. What I cannot influence is then simply unavoidable. But if I want to build an eco-house, I can pay attention to making it largely free of burdens. And yes! Some things cannot be avoided, which is absolutely unacceptable. That’s why I don’t eat meat from animal farming, for example. The question is, why don’t you? Whoever always gives in only supports the polluters. I personally can only support the concerns of "ohneWissen" and wish all the best for the implementation. Unfortunately, I have no clue either, otherwise I would gladly help.

Who says that I only shop at the discount store and don’t pay attention to quality? Although one actually shouldn’t buy from the local farmer either, since he can offer great meat and vegetables, but may apply slurry/feces to fields and poison the groundwater. But that is just by the way.

My comment is meant to make the author realize that he does not want to make any, absolutely no compromises with the house. But life always consists of compromises!
Therefore, he should think about what he wants to achieve and can achieve (especially financially, since an ecological house is not cheap either—I speak here from my own limited experience, e.g. regarding clay plaster, which quickly emptied our wallet back then). He will only really get smarter if he goes to an expert with his wishes (I’m just saying 130sqm with 5 bedrooms/guest rooms) and his budget and obtains reliable offers/suggestions. Afterwards, he should put the result to the test and consider whether perhaps 90% goal achievement is enough to live healthily enough.

Off-topic: Sorry, but this argument is completely nonsensical. 1. Quality and ecology are not necessarily dependent on each other. I can buy eco and get total crap quality just as well as I can achieve top quality with ecological disaster. (I’ll spare the discussion on what quality is and whether eco is necessarily involved.) 2. Discount stores do not inherently have bad quality. 3. Animal husbandry includes the local farmer, right? Such general meta-nonsense! The question is where I allow compromises and where not. But we agree that with this house budget you can’t get by without compromises. However, if he wins the lottery, the matter might look different.

I don’t think this discussion is helpful any further. Of course, everything is a matter of compromises. If I don’t have the money to buy food of high quality, whether organic or not, then I have to buy poorer quality goods, or I should starve.
It’s the same with building; if I can’t afford my desired eco-house in the right size, then I have to save on space and eco wishes or I have to stay in the rental apartment.
But here lies another problem, see my point 1. As long as one gets their knowledge from the system providers, one is not open to compromises. These people, for whatever reasons, have decided on something and will find enough arguments why it can only be this way and not otherwise.
That’s why maybe we should just agree on this:
Without consulting a neutral expert who explores the possibilities of a compromise between wishes and wallet, it will be nothing!!!!!

Wrong????????????????????????????????????

Whereas I seriously wonder how many thousand euros the budget will shrink to if I find a real expert for this eco-construction method and then employ them for it.

Hello,

this is once again typically German ...

Regardless of whether ecological construction, conventional solid or prefabricated house, every potential builder should ask themselves what they trigger if they do without experts. This for their future in the single-family house - usually planned - to be lived in for a long time ...

Building a single-family house has never been cheap, even if it is often romanticized here. You should walk through houses built in EL - that is the community "I know someone who knows someone ..." - with an expert. It would mostly terrify you; exceptions also confirm the rule here (for example "Allrounder" - but he also had years to read and learn from mistakes). Experts have a reason to exist and they also have to make a living from their work. They are even more important - in my unimportant opinion - when niche products are to be realized. The ignorance or even untrained half-knowledge of some saleswomen should prompt any reasonably clear-thinking person to stay in their rental apartment if they are not prepared to pay for real expertise.

And as far as ecology is concerned - strictly speaking, nobody should breathe ....

Rhenish greetings
