Not bad in itself if you like a lot of air for little money. The annoying southern sun is also largely successfully blocked, very well done. At least on the 15 days when we have 35°C in Germany...

What sound insulation class does your bedroom door have?

Not the bedroom. Nothing gets through there. But I also live upstairs and move around in the bathroom, on the gallery... the doors there are not always closed. The child also has no exit ban upstairs.
I would give the children's room a separate hallway, say, where the bedroom is... to hell with the great view from the bathroom. You don't really enjoy that when you're dreaming in the tub anyway.

So you have - partially - convinced me, I'll have another go at the planning. I’m still not sure about putting the garage to the east; maybe I'll just move the garage a bit away from the house directly to the property boundary next to the left neighbor, which would keep the southwest side of the house open and at least allow for a few meters of southwest terrace. If I were to place the garage to the east, I wouldn’t have a larger southwest terrace otherwise. What I haven’t mentioned yet is that I’m not allowed to build all the way to the property boundary on the east side because there is a public sewer running under my property along that boundary, which has to remain accessible for the municipal utilities. Along this stretch, I also want to keep driveway access for myself (among other things for possible future development behind the property, which is legally permitted there).

It was important to me not to sit out on the terrace like being on a display plate facing the street, but that could also be achieved with a hedge or a low wall between the house and the garage. I also wanted to be able to get from the car to the house without getting wet in the rain. There are different options to roof that path. Unfortunately, the house won’t be cheaper overall because of this, but it will be nicer.

Unfortunately, all without a readable floor plan sketch (length, width, slopes, indication from where the slope drops off, etc., i.e. elevation points in the site plan).

And, with the current floor plans, the numbers and information cannot be read, so, for example, it is not possible to see what you want to do in the basement room, which is apparently planned with a light well.

The floor plans can be enlarged with one click on my side, so you can read everything, even when I access them here through the forum.

I do not yet have a site plan with marked elevations (but have now requested one from my architect). To give an idea of where the neighboring development is located, I have attached an excerpt from the development plan. The blue marked building plot at the bottom by the street is what we want to build on (we will leave the hinterland undeveloped for the time being). The street slopes down 1 meter from left to right in front of the front building plot. However, the slope in the course of the property will initially become somewhat gentler; at the rear boundary of our building plot, I suspect only half a meter difference in height. The area then remains relatively flat with a slight incline; only 10 meters before the northern neighbor does it begin to slope more steeply.

The basement room with the light well (possibly it will only be a strip of light) is not yet fixed in its use. If child 2 comes, it could be a spare room for an office or guest room or later be useful as a large playroom (a ping pong table definitely fits in ). The room is "left over" in this sense due to the disadvantages of a partial basement. With child(ren), a lot of stuff accumulates quickly anyway, so I think we will fill all the rooms somehow...
