Folklore - is that an architectural style or a way of life? Or maybe an art form? Never heard of it in the industry.
Folklore is marketed, commercial tradition.... we are currently moving in the sector where the OP, who wanted to incorporate archaeological columns and buildings as well as frescoes, also comes from.
I'll say this: On Sundays I go to the museum, on vacation I explore ruins, and in everyday life I admire old houses that are expensive to maintain because they are community property.
There are some beautiful residential houses among them. At the beginning I wrote that these houses also have their reason to exist. English manor houses in miniature or manor houses in the German countryside can be built differently than in new development areas, where everything is pre-regulated.
If it fits where it is to be built, okay.
You only see the eyesore window in this example from the garden... but for me it is an internal planning mistake because the view, which you want to have when bathing, is also so great. Anyway:
The flat roof is the crowning glory: outwardly not exactly conspicuous, but inside a block over your head. And that's because at some point an outside staircase to the roof (6 meters high) was planned because of the roof terrace.
For me, there is far too much airy and dreamy planning involved. After reading a post, I would always like to shake the future builders and shout "Wake up."
You do not lead a different life in a different house than you do now: A window with a beautiful view does not replace a TV, a bathroom is not a cinema room, a house is not a mountain or climbing aid that you ascend for a better view, you do not automatically have good taste just because you can afford it. The trip upstairs to the toilet is not a stage and never will be, the trip downstairs is not for your own presentation. A house is not a museum, not a stage. An open space is no place for stained glass windows. You do not automatically have more time just because the rooms and corridors are long.
A house is a retreat for a family and should offer individuals, that is, individuals, peace and relaxation, basically a retreat. The resident should ideally be able to spread out with their interests. Okay, there is still a basement. But living spaces simply must function in life and provide retreat. I see none of that here anywhere. I see no well-being here anywhere.
