I am in the bathroom more often than I look at it from the outside, so I have different priorities than exterior symmetry. By the way, the positioning of the bathroom on the north side also has to do with the fact that the nearest houses are very far away there and you don’t have to worry every day about darkening all the windows before turning on the light in the Adam’s costume at night.

I agree with using the southwestern side more for living spaces and want to revise the plan accordingly. However, the southeast side faces directly onto the street, and I do not want to place my main living area there. For me, living spaces belong rather connected to the garden with a view of one’s own greenery instead of someone else’s grayness.

I also want to try to implement your other suggestions in the next planning phase. A big thank you in advance to you and all other constructive critics.

Sorry, but I see a Sims house here - which is quite unusual for a Westphalian country noble residence

The roofscape is chaotic, and the overall impression is that of an old village school (again unusual: with an attached coach house).

The "local architect" must be an outsider, otherwise I cannot explain this folklore postmodernism.

Honestly, Thies, what are the poor builders supposed to think now? Is there any recommendation for action to be expected from you? A bit more constructive would be not bad.

The roof is on me, since I wanted a flat roof above the "living hall" for the option of later terrace use. That’s why I came up with the idea to arrange the roof almost as if it were an L-shaped house with a "flat roof extension" in the inner L gap.

By the way, I gladly take the old village school comment as a compliment. I can often appreciate old architecture more in terms of aesthetics and comfort than many modern "cool-functional" utilitarian residential buildings.

PS: you are wrong about Westphalia

I hope the new draft better takes into account the layout of the bathroom. There is actually a downpipe in the dining area here.

Then you can immediately hear if someone has room in their stomach again and can refill their plate...

It won't be easy, I would like the bathroom upstairs somehow facing the garden and downstairs preferably only living rooms facing the garden. Hm... let me think, does anyone have an idea?

Can you still hear that clearly in modern new buildings?
