Even acquaintances cannot give anything away for free

Visit show homes and look around. When it comes to size, more is possible than just inflating

To be honest: if someone puts this cabin on the plot for 360k, I’m not going to complain about the 80 sqm sleep-dressing-bath suite. Just the 60 cbm bedroom alone I couldn’t fill up with as much bean soup as you want in one night.

In this example, you quickly end up alone in a small single apartment while the woman enjoys herself in the sleeping hall

Please be a bit more specific. People want to protect you from mistakes here. Currently, with your budget you will get a shell construction without plumbing, heating, electricity, etc. What exactly is supposed to be done as DIY? Has the material budget been taken into account?

Are your acquaintances craftsmen with too much free time or do they know someone who works without salary? Do you only have verbal promises or binding offers in black and white? Warranty or is everything based on trust without an invoice? Will light switches and sanitary objects be installed that have been lying around at the company for 5 years? The construction will cost you nerves; friends who suddenly only have excuses while you have nothing concrete in your hands are definitely a risk.

Topic floor plan evaluation. please do not digress.

You can be happy about my connections and good conditions.

By the way; I have subcontracted many positions myself (sanitary + heating, electrical, master roofer (self-employed) is an uncle of my girlfriend, painter, tiler, carpenter) this saves a lot and if simple shapes are chosen for the floor plan (no projections etc.); doors+floors+windows+front door come from a friendly dealer including installation. In the bathroom, tiles are naturally sometimes only half-height, and for the floor I chose vinyl instead of parquet, for example. The sanitary objects are not stock items but were picked from catalogs

(Credo basically price-performance is great).

But that is another topic and everyone should be able to calculate here. Calculation tips belong in another subforum.

Well, if you save that much everywhere, I would say you have enough money for a decent design from the architect. We would be happy if you present it. Such self-designs are quite nice to get a feel for the matter. But I wouldn't expect more from it now and would let the professional take over.
