Almost like that but without a door

Then you wouldn’t look at the stairway descending but at the stair railing. To what extent that is better is the question. It would at least be an idea

I quite like the design and congratulations on the concept / agreement. I wouldn't call the ensemble a "town villa" – and I actually see that as a positive. I also think it's good that the study helps to somewhat separate the living units from each other. The second staircase to the basement wouldn't bother me. That part of the house is very dark anyway and the "wasted space" there practically doesn't matter.

What you need to know about this arrangement:

[*] acoustically, this will be a "lively" house.
[*] the paths from the bedroom to the children are long.
[*] the children need to learn quickly to handle stairs and railings safely.

The question about the slope was answered with "no" in the questionnaire. So what would speak against omitting the basement access as "causal" from the start and moving the storage room & co. upstairs – do the tenants want to install skylights in the flat roof of their "bungalow"?

Thanks again for the feedback. Regarding noise, we have given it some thought and like it lively. If, contrary to expectations, we do have problems with it, we could install a wall/glass pane/door between the stairs and the office and place a cover on the gallery. We have also thought about the basement. We could only expand the house towards the south, but then the upper floor would become too large. Expanding just the ground floor fits but does not look good. And there is no space for a gym :) Additionally, there is currently a house with a basement on the property and we have to do some digging anyway.

Sorry, forgot the answer regarding the [Lichtkuppel]. It is currently not planned, we thought that the light coming through the window surfaces would be sufficient for the living area + hallway. Do you think it will be too dark in the hallway and one should consider a [Lichtkuppel]?
