Ah, I hadn't thought of that at all. Do they still build something like that? Then I'd rather have a toilet with a built-in spray nozzle right away.

Some swear by it. Like others do on KNX.
It is also rumored that a bidet is more hygienic and/or practical than this modern stuff.

Thank you for the additional input. Mentally, we are still stuck on the arrangement of the living and dining areas and upstairs parents' dressing and storage rooms. The "table" in the kitchen is a kitchen (half-)island with a cooktop, cooktop extractor, and an overhanging countertop for seating. Sorry for the misleading representation. Yes, bidet. Living area 172 m² when I add the ground floor and upper floor. The shower screen on the ground floor will be made as a glass partition. That for now in a hurry.

Do we really have the reputation of such strict dominatrices that one has to "officially" sign off if one is not "always on" responding?

b) I don't see a comparison there, and a) yes, "one" – but not just anyone – is also building with urinals again.

Just think about when you actually sit in the living room with daylight outside and can look at the garden? If it's summer, you will probably sit on the terrace, and then having the kitchen close to the terrace is really great because that’s where the fridge is. So, swapping the living room/kitchen would also have the great advantage that you don’t have to block windows with a screen, but instead have the utility room on the right-hand side wall. And you could also shorten the hallway a bit and, practically in continuation of the staircase line, partition off a special pantry/vacuum cleaner/mop room.

Speaking of the fridge, the kitchen urgently needs to be replanned, especially the fridge position, especially if it is going to be a side-by-side. The cooling part is then very inconvenient for kitchen work.

Also cooking on a peninsula ... how about having a large preparation island, which is especially great with children.

And then the fireplace – it also has to be routed through the upper floor, and so far I don’t see it considered. As it stands now, it would also be way too close to the sofa.

Hello!

A matter of courtesy and communication culture, I think.

I would like to have the sofas arranged so that you look into the garden and not at a wall.
My home cinema project will be my second implementation of a (residential) home cinema and I have clear ideas and wishes. Our media usage consists of 1-2 uses of the screen per week. For that, the room must be darkened anyway, so the temporary darkening of the window does not matter.

In the meantime, we have thought about the living, dining, and kitchen areas and have also taken out again the planner’s first draft, which we had discarded because of the positioning of the door to the street (play street). How do you find the arrangement of the above rooms and the consequences for the rest of the room layout?

(I know that the proportions and accessibility are not given here and many points of criticism have not yet been resolved.)
