Is it also financially worthwhile (cost of glass door vs surcharge from 90 to 140 cm, e.g. for steel/enamel)?
It is better if the wet room is enclosed all around, because then the splashes collect and flow as a trickle down into the drain.
When it comes to cost savings: you can’t blindly do without a shower tray and then go with glass...
For a floor-level shower, the surface is sloped so that the water flows towards the drain. Usually a wall is then installed on the side. This also has to be water-resistant, so tiled, etc.
You should first be clear about what you want, instead of only looking at costs and then paying extra later because you have to make individual adjustments.
Regarding 140: it is enough for me, my husband needs 180.
