When it comes to cost savings: you can’t blindly do without a shower tray and then go with glass...
For a floor-level shower, the surface is sloped so that the water flows towards the drain. Usually a wall is then installed on the side. This also has to be water-resistant, so tiled, etc.
You should first be clear about what you want, instead of only looking at costs and then paying extra later because you have to make individual adjustments.
Regarding 140: it is enough for me, my husband needs 180.

Do I understand that correctly? So a level tiled shower is therefore excluded with glass walls (U-shape)? Conclusion then: If an open shower, then 140 long and with tiles and tiled walls?

Yes, after Halloween I discovered this .. I like green better than red ;) … color!

Since the floor down there is sloped, at least the side walls would have to be either sloped at the bottom or the floor must be elaborately “bent.”
Yes.

Thank you for the feedback. I just thought of something: for accessibility, an open, tiled shower makes more sense. However, then you immediately have less light. The cost of a tiled shower with 3 tiled walls is likely to be multiple times the cost of a shower tray solution with glass. Shower tray steel enamel with U-shaped glass estimated at €1500 including installation/sealing, but what about a tiled shower?

There are also super flat shower trays.

And depending on how sensitive one is and how well the bathroom is heated, one can also get cold in open showers thanks to the steam column.
